Alex Honnold became the first person to free climb the 508-meter Taipei 101 skyscraper in Taiwan during a live global broadcast on Netflix.The 40-year-old athlete completed the ropeless ascent in approximately 92 minutes after heavy rain postponed the event from its original Saturday schedule.Lai Ching-te praised the achievement following the successful climb while media critics like Thomas Horky raised ethical concerns regarding the live broadcast of life-threatening stunts.
