Gunmen killed 11 people and injured 12 others during a mass shooting at a soccer field in Salamanca, Guanajuato.Mayor Cesar Prieto appealed to President Claudia Sheinbaum for federal assistance following the attack which occurred at the conclusion of a local match.The massacre took place in an industrial region where the Santa Rosa de Lima gang and Jalisco New Generation Cartel frequently clash over fuel theft and drug routes.
