Matthew Scott Alder has been charged with manslaughter for the fatal shooting of Arthur "Afa" Folasa Ah Loo during the "No Kings" protest in Salt Lake City.District Attorney Sim Gill stated that Alder's reckless third shot, intended for Arturo Roberto Gamboa who was assembling an AR-15 rifle, accidentally killed Ah Loo, a fashion designer and former "Project Runway" contestant filming the protest.Ah Loo's widow Laura Ah Loo expressed deep grief and called the charges against Alder moral and just, underscoring the importance of safe public gatherings.
