Elena Rybakina secured her first Australian Open title and second Grand Slam trophy after defeating world number one Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in the final.The fifth-seeded Kazakhstani player overcame a 0-3 deficit in the deciding set to win five consecutive games and avenge her 2023 championship loss to the Belarusian.Elena Rybakina will rise to third in the world rankings following the victory at the Rod Laver Arena while Aryna Sabalenka remains without her third consecutive crown.
