Benjamin Haddad, France's Minister Delegate for Europe, has urged the European Commission to investigate allegations that European Union funds for NGOs in Palestinian territories may have been diverted to the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas.In a letter to EU chief diplomat Kaja Kallas and Commissioners Dubravka Suica, Michael Mcgrath, and Magnus Brunner, Haddad expressed concern over alleged Hamas control of these organizations since 2020 and called for robust transparency and control mechanisms.
