Emergency responders in Moffat Beach described how a 17-year-old girl died after climbing over a safety fence with friends to photograph the sunset and falling about 30 metres onto rocks below. Police investigator Peter Hocken and Queensland Fire and Rescue spokesperson Ryan Dubyk said the incident, which also left another teenager with minor injuries, has prompted an inquiry into warning signs and renewed pleas for visitors to respect barriers and keep clear of cliff edges.
