Brian Cole was arrested in connection with two pipe bombs planted outside the DNC and RNC headquarters in Washington on the eve of the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.Investigators say cellphone-tower data, credit-card records and security footage linked Cole to components that included galvanized pipes, steel wool, wiring, 9-volt batteries, kitchen timers and black powder, and he allegedly confessed during an hours-long interview.The DOJ charged him with transporting an explosive device in interstate commerce and attempted malicious destruction by means of fire and explosive materials, investigators said, and officials warned the devices could have been lethal while no injuries were reported.
