Donald Trump led the National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, introducing Melania Trump before she illuminated a 32-foot red spruce adorned with over 80,000 LED lights and celebrating with performances by the Beach Boys, Brett Young, Matthew West, Gabby Barrett, Jon Pardi, Alana Springsteen, and Warren Zeiders.During the event, Trump highlighted a peace agreement he signed between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo and paid tribute to National Guard member Sarah Beckstrom, who died on patrol, as well as Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, who is recovering from injuries.Melania Trump had earlier received the official White House Christmas Tree, and Trump shared family updates including news about Barron Trump and acknowledged community service, law enforcement, and first responders.
