#Miami, #USA
Donald Trump and his sons filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department following the unauthorized disclosure of confidential tax information. The legal action stems from security failures that allowed contractor Charles Edward Littlejohn to leak private financial data to news organizations between 2018 and 2020. The complaint alleges that these disclosures caused irreparable financial and reputational harm while negatively impacting public support during the previous presidential election.Charles Edward Littlejohn is currently serving a five-year prison sentence after admitting to stealing tax records belonging to thousands of wealthy individuals including Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. In response to the security breach, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent cancelled $21 million in government contracts with the firm Booz Allen Hamilton. The lawsuit claims the government was grossly negligent in failing to uphold privacy laws and protecting the private information of the former president.Trump Media shares surged 44 percent on Wall Street after the company announced a $6 billion merger with the energy firm TAE Technologies. While legal battles continue in the USA, tensions have emerged in Vietnam where farmer Nguyen Thi Huong was ordered to vacate her land for a Trump family golf resort.
