Amazon Web Services (AWS) unveiled the Amazon EC2 Trn3 UltraServers featuring the new Trainium3 AI chip at the AWS Re:Invent conference, showcasing a fourfold leap in compute performance, energy efficiency, and memory bandwidth over Trainium2.AWS customers including Anthropic, Karakuri, Metagenomi, NetoAI, Ricoh, Splash Music, and Decart are now using Trainium3, with Decart achieving generative video inference speeds four times faster at half the GPU cost.AWS CEO Matt Garman announced AWS Factories for on-premises AI deployment alongside the upcoming Trainium4, as Amazon focuses on expanding capacity and addressing supply chain challenges amid strong demand and $150 billion revenue potential projected by Wells Fargo.
