Mark Allen Geralds was executed by lethal injection at the Florida state prison in Starke.He was convicted of the February 1, 1989, murder of Tressa Lynn Pettibone in her Panama City Beach home, having tortured her for 20 minutes because he believed she possessed $7,000.This marked Florida's 18th execution this year, setting a new state record, and Geralds became the 45th inmate executed nationwide, the highest number since 2010.
