Police said they recovered a rare Fabergé egg pendant inspired by the film "Octopussy" after a 32-year-old man grabbed it from "Partridge Jewellers" and swallowed it to thwart security.Officers kept the man under surveillance for six days while working to retrieve the jewel, and the pendant was recovered without medical intervention, returned to the jeweller and documented as one of only 50 made with multiple diamonds and sapphires.The suspect also faces charges for earlier last month thefts including an
iPad and household items, he appeared in "Auckland District Court" without entering a plea and awaits further proceedings.
