Giorgia Meloni clarified that Italy cannot join the Board of Peace for Gaza led by Trump due to constitutional constraints during a summit with Friedrich Merz.The Italian leader expressed hope that Trump could eventually receive a Nobel Peace Prize if he succeeds in establishing a lasting peace in Ukraine.During the Rome meeting, Italy and Germany also strengthened their strategic partnership by signing a defense agreement and joining a multilateral arms export pact.
