Lindsey Vonn was airlifted from a World Cup course in Switzerland after crashing during a downhill race just one week before the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.The 41-year-old USA athlete appeared to suffer a left knee injury after losing control on a jump in poor visibility conditions that eventually forced the cancellation of the event.Lindsey Vonn, who has been the top downhiller this season following a multi-year retirement, was scheduled to begin her Olympic competition on February 8 in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
