Leonardo Caffo had his prison term halved to two years on appeal in Milan and the judges converted the sentence into a conditional suspension tied to a court-ordered rehabilitation program, following a first-instance four-year term last year.The appeal judges accepted a negotiated proposal from Fabio Schembri, granted non-mention and acquitted Caffo of a specific injuries charge because intent was not recognized, and the philosopher said outside the Palace of Justice that he had been "massacred in the press" and that the case destroyed his credibility.Earlier in Milan Judge Maria Beatrice Parati declared the revenge-porn offense involving Leonardo Apache La Russa extinguished after a €25,000 compensation offer, while Tommaso Gilardoni was sentenced to one year for sharing an intimate video and the victim, through lawyer Stefano Benvenuto, rejected the settlement and plans to appeal.
