The Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) announced its award winners, naming Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another" as Best Film and Best Director, with Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" as runner-up for Best Director.Earlier, the Critics Choice Awards nominations were announced, with Coogler's "Sinners" leading film nods with 17, followed by Anderson's "One Battle After Another" with 14, and recognizing performances by Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Stone, and Robert Elordi.Chelsea Handler will host the 31st annual Critics Choice Awards ceremony on January 4, 2026, while the LAFCA awards will be presented on January 10.
