The Villa Silvestri Rivaldi, a 16th-century Renaissance complex in Rome, is set to reopen after decades of neglect following an agreement between the Lazio Region and the Ministry of Culture, with Minister Alessandro Giuli and Governor Francesco Rocca visiting the site today.A $35 million restoration, funded by the Ministry of Culture, will begin in 2026, with the Lazio Region purchasing the property for $25 million, aiming to establish it as a major European cultural center with initial public access to its gardens starting December 15, 2025.
