Paul Doyle was jailed for 21 years and six months on 16 December after pleading guilty to 31 counts over driving into crowds at Liverpool’s championship parade in May, following earlier reports of more than 130 injured people.Judge Andrew Menary said Doyle’s actions caused unparalleled terror and destruction, while prosecutors told the court that dashcam and surveillance footage show Doyle following an ambulance through road closures and mounting the crowd in a dark Ford.Victims described lasting physical and psychological harm, prosecutors ruled out a terrorist motive, and authorities said they will continue to support those injured and pursue outstanding matters.
