María Corina Machado, the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, will not attend the award ceremony in Oslo.Machado is reportedly in hiding in Venezuela, following a demonstration in Caracas in January and after being barred from the 2024 presidential election.Her daughter, Ana Corina Sosa, will accept the prize on her behalf, while attorney-general Tarek William Saab stated Machado would be treated as a "fugitive from justice" if she traveled to Norway.
