Abraham Quintanilla, father and longtime manager of Selena, has died at 86, his son A.B. Quintanilla III announced on Instagram; the family did not disclose a cause.He founded and managed Los Dinos, led Selena from childhood to global stardom with the multiplatinum album "Amor Prohibido", ran Q-Productions and the Selena Foundation, and served as executive producer on the film "Selena", Netflix's "Selena: The Series" and the documentary "Selena y Los Dinos"; he is survived by his wife Marcella Quintanilla and children A.B. Quintanilla III, Suzette Quintanilla and Selena Quintanilla.Selena, who was killed at 23 by Yolanda Saldívar and whose death was ruled a homicide, left a global legacy that the Quintanilla family continues to steward through music, estate management and advocacy.
