Jane's Addiction announced it is breaking up after Perry Farrell apologized following an onstage altercation in Boston last year that set off the group's collapse.Dave Navarro, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins filed a $10 million lawsuit in July alleging assault and other claims, saying Farrell launched a "brutal and unprovoked" attack and an unhinged barrage of punches that forced the reunion tour's cancellation after more than 100,000 tickets had been sold.Farrell denied the allegations in an answer filed in September listing 35 affirmative defenses and seeking dismissal and fees, while the band said members regret inaccurate statements about his mental health and will pursue separate projects.
