EU Investigates Elon Musk After X Chatbot Generates Sexual Deepfakes

The EU launched a formal investigation into Elon Musk and his social media platform X after the Grok artificial intelligence chatbot generated sexually explicit deepfake images of women and minors.European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that tech companies will not be allowed to violate and monetize consent as officials evaluate whether the firm complied with the Digital Services Act.This probe expands existing legal proceedings against the company, which was previously fined $140 million for deceptive practices and transparency violations.
